I agree with you Tenpin, while 18's do look good on 3rd gens, I think 17's look more muscle car-ish while 18's are getting into the realm of show car-ish, for 4th gens you use the same formula, just jump it up a inch, just my two P.S.I.

As far as width, I wouldn't go any wider then 8.5" on the front if you have the car lowered or plan to. Mine is lowered ( I wish I knew how much) and with a 17" X 8.5" rim on the front (255mm tire) I rub just a little when I cut the wheel all the way over. Anybody else experiance this?

You will be looking at a big price differance at tire prices not really rim prices.

The biggest thing i like is a nice 10.5" wide rim in the back and as long as you fill the wheel well up with tire you are good.

1995 TA Sold. i sure do miss it though.

I agree, as long as you fill the wheel well up, that's what counts. If you do smaller rims, lower it to make up the difference.

Wwll I say go 18inch but the both look nice. 18 and 17 is not the big problem. Its how wide you are going. Thas what make you lok like a monster!!!

What you should ask is 9.5 , 10.5 , or 11 wide rims. Now thas what i want to hear.

I would say if you are trying to get the same tire all the way around go with 18x9.5 .

Then just buy (2) 17x 10.5inch or 11inch wide for the back and get some realy soft ruber for racing.

17s for function, 18s for the look. im personally gonna stick with 17s... but that might be because i really like 35th wheels (which i dont have yet).
