yea, i was just stating that for the fact to show how sticky they are. if they can hold that power to pull up an 18" wheel, thats impressive. It is a big cube NA motor, 421 i think.... i dont recall nitrous but it was like 500 rwhp.

I have the same problem as you, Im planning on buying some Nitto 555's all the way around then I'll pick up two more of the same rim and by a couple Nitto 555R DRs or some MT DRs that way I get good life for my Daily driver and I can just put the DRs on for the weekend or going to the track. for you it would be even easyier since you plan on keeping the same rim. Buy a good street tire and then pick up two firehawk rims ( Im sure you could find them cheap on ebay or craigslist) and wrap them in some good DR's. Its not like its that hard to change out a couple wheels and you'll save a lot of money on sticky tires in the long run

I think a second set of rims for the track is a great idea and if thats the case I wouldn't recommend anything other than the MT DRs.

I was told the nitto dr's were actualy the stickier of the two, I take it thats not true huh?

lol The nittos only netted me a best of 2.0 60' where as the first time out on my MTs I got a 1.79 with no upgraded suspension at all and a slipping converter.

In my opinion, get the extra set of rims for the Drag tires. Especially if your going to try any Autocross. From what I've been told, the Drag tire sidewalls won't handle the side loads for Autocross. I have done my share of Autocross, and I always run Falcons. There sticky as hell, and inexpensive. And for a Z-rated tire, they hold up pretty good.

Ehh looking at Jeff's numbers. It doesnt even seem worth it getting nittos. I think i might just get some good street tires and if/when i pop my rear get a nice set of m/t's to go with the new rear on a cheapo set of rims.
