Didn't want to thread jack the spring to do list thread, but I'm going to go with the KYB AGX or the bilsteins. I'm torn for the fact that the KYBs are adjustable and are generally around the same price, but they are on rockauto right now and I can get all four with both front MOOG mounts for 450 shipped.. But on the other hand most people love the bilsteins and they have the lifetime warranty.. I mostly just cruise with the car, but I do drag race it occasionally... I also plan on cutting the factory springs up front if that makes a difference. Just wondering if anyone has some input.

Ya I got them. No adjustability in them. 8 is hard as rocks, 1 is clouds. 2-7 nothing different
Bilstein or koni yellows are the way to go imo

Hmm Yeah the only thing I'm considering is Right now with shipping the KYBs and moog mounts are $435. I got another 5%off on rock auto... So it'd be another $80-$100 or so for the bilsteinssigpic

Not really interested in spending $1,000 on shocks... Are the koni STR.Ts better or comparable to the bilsteins? I've read a lot of mixed reviews on the KYBs, all pretty good reviews on bilsteins, and obviously everyone says koni yellows are the best, but I can't justify doubling the price for them.sigpic

Maybe you can find a used set on eBay for a little less.Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

Seriously, any parts at all you are looking for type the number into Google and go to the shopping tab. I've easily saved $1000 on my build vs going with for example Strano. I'll spend more to support vendors I like if the price is competitive or if I had to contact them for advice, but otherwise shopping around will save lots.

I assume with my general driving, mostly cruising and occasional consumption of a ricer, that the rears being non adjustable on the car wont really be an issue?
Also, did I read the front konis have a lowering option as well? So I wouldn't need to cut the springs?Last edited by Sbaileyls1ta; February 27th, 2016, 12:17 PM.sigpic

I have those same shocks on the car and I autocross it competitively. Especially for your use you would generally set it and forget it. Most people use the softest setting and some use the next one up. The front's have two different grooves for the spring perch. I would still recommend cutting stock springs over using the lower perch as that will gain some spring rate which you will need to avoid bottoming out.Originally posted by Sbaileyls1ta View PostI assume with my general driving, mostly cruising and occasional consumption of a ricer, that the rears being non adjustable on the car wont really be an issue?
