you can fit a 295 on a 10" rim? I have 17 x 10.5's all the way around on my 95 and I was looking for a bigger and wider tire, the guy before me put 245/45/17 on them and they look to short and way to narow, I wasnt sure what size to put on. I was thinking 275's could i swing the 275's up front and 295's in the rear?

295 is the biggest you can fit on a 9" rim, should be right at home on a 10"
Shop brands, 285/295 can get expensive

Most Brand suggest a 9.5" wheel for a 285 tire.Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View Post295 is the biggest you can fit on a 9" rim, should be right at home on a 10"

I have Nitto 255 45 17s(8" wide) and 285 40 17s(9.5 wide) on my chevelle. Overall tire diameter is the same just an inch wider in back.

Tirerack.com has some good information and also a lot of specifications. You can also look at tire manufacturers websites for that information. A couple examples:
http://www.yokohamatire.com/tires_10...m_wheel_width/ <--max rim size
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...jsp?techid=198 <--tire sizes vs rim width explained
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...e.jsp?techid=7 <--tire sizes explainedsigpicAnd another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end.
