        If you get a 4th gen rear end, or 3rg gen with aftermarket brackets, first figure out if your swapping rear ends in your car

          Why would he use a 3rd or 4th gen rear end?
          1. Neither would come close to handing the kind of power he is making. A second gen rear end is stronger in stock form.
          2. they are not close to bolt in. 2nd gens has leaf springs 3rd & 4th have coil springs.

          People have installed Camaro 98-02 brakes on a GM 10 & 12 bolts. Just do a search on google.

              so get the proper backing plates and they will be fine gm hasn't changed the axle flange in yrs
