The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. I'd say neither of those two choices......Z06's are nice but won't give you the dish, the second rims are very cheap...and look it too. You have some options fitting a wheel with some dish to it if you are willing to go to a custom wheel. Lot's of choices out there but your gonna pay around $500 and up per wheel....it's worth it in the long run once you get over the sticker shock

Everybody and their brother has Z06's. If anything get a set of C6 ZO6's instead of the C5's. I like the second one. I would see how the wheels looked before I decided to powder coat them. Why cover up something that looks nice? Just like in guitar building. If you have a decent piece of wood, don't cover it up by a heavy paint layer. Just stain it to accentuate the unique qualities of the wood. This scenario made me think of the same principle. The widest wheel I have seen on an fbody was a 11". I think they had to modify the firewall though. Hammer and Smach technique. The tires I beleive were like 315's.
P.S. I did not even see Matts post about the C6's. LOL
I would go with #2, only because if I wanted a Vette, I would buy a Vette.
But that is just my opinion.

Matt, does your car have anything done to it to alter the ride height? I think I want the same size tires you have, they fill the wheelwells nicely, IMO.

Be carefull of the Sportmax wheels you need to pay attention to the offset of the wheel that you are purchasing.They may only come in 35mm offset and that is to much offset for the front if you are running a 9.5" wide wheel.
I have the AZA Z8's from Wheel Max 18x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 rears both with a 35mm offset. and they fill the wheel well perfectly.

Hey! thanx for the info but I plan on doing a 8.5" in the front if I go with the Sportmax rims (275 tires seem a bit wide for the front anywho) so that should fit right.
The Chevy Camaro was built with a single purpose in mind which it executes flawlessly...Going very very fast in a straight line until your hair catches on fire.

i just have the "stock" SLP/Eibach springs that the car came with that are like .75-1" drop, somewhere around there...i want to get the Eibach Pro-Kit or the LG Motorsports G2 "super springs"

i think you meant wheel well? cause if you're smashing your firewall for wheel clearance, you have some problems
you can go as wide as you want in terms of rims and tire selection, just be ready to modify....but most people do stick with an 11" wide rim with a 315 tire....Seans Shop car has 335 hoosiers on it though

Have no idea if they are quality wheel...I think they are cast so.....who knows.....they could be alright. I just think they look cheap, and the price reflects that. The centers on those wheels are downright UGLY. This is, of coarse, my own opinion....your milage may vary.
