And I wish it was a wee but lower but I think some bmr lowering a arms and the hose mod in rear will give me the look I want.
But you had a ls1 pro kit right?

Seems lt1 people are a little happier with the lt1 kit.

If I didn't get lucky on craigslist I would have cut mine.

lt1 vs ls1 prokit arent the same. one is progressive one linear.
i had the lt1 prokit on my ls1.

i use cut stock rears now. 60's better than the prokit

Ok, I cut a little at a time to get the look and I think that I ended up with approximately 1 1/3 coils off my stock front springs to get my car to sit at this stance. It looks cool but the ride was "horrific." Anyone whoever drove in front of me at night knows how hard it rode with the headlights/fogs bouncing all over in their rearview mirror!

Kevin, I would cut them again but not as much because the spring weight does increase as mentioned in other posts.

Hopefully, the set-up this year won't rattle my teeth as much as last year. BMR 1" drop spindles and adjustable QA1's. So, I should be able to drop and not have my NUTS come loose over every bump.

A combo of those drop spindles and a mild cut would probably be the best of both worlds... I might just start collecting the parts to do that. Otherwise i think im going to end up hating my car... I cant believe anyone would want a spring this harsh even if they want to take turns. Body roll wasnt THAT much of a problem with stock springs.

What spring rate are you running Jim? I have the same shocks and I had 175's and swapped to 315's. I like the 315's MUCH better, night and day..

I bought these used and I think they are 300lbs Larry. I have not driven it yet so no clue how they are going to ride or perform. All I know, is it has to be alot better than my last set-up.

Anyone want to buy my old shocks and springs? 1900 miles

Ride is subjective, but I like the feel of the 315's. 300 shouldn't be much different.

yeah I had the pro kit and my bmr's ride just as crappy. It isn't bad once I'm on the paved rd but the dirt road is horrendous.

Me? At the rate I manage to get in the garage, they'll be cut just in time for my car to be considered a classic!

haha, yeah, decision is made that they'll be cut. When they will be cut, now that is the question...

In all seriousness, potentially could start on it this weekend, although next weekend is probably more accurate. Want to fab up a powerbleeder and flush the brake/clutch before I get into the suspension stuff. Hope to get the systems bled during the week, which would free up the weekend for "spring work".

Side note, I pulled the tires off for the first time (I never have since I got the car last year) and I see where my driver's side rear bump stop has contacted the axle recently. My passenger side is torn - in good shape other than it split and is dangling.
