Alright, hopefully I can swap them without having to unbolt too much so it'll be an easy swap. When I was doing the install, I didn't think it was that big of a deal since the thickness of the bracket is half an inch at the very most, more like 1/4th inch. Curious though - why would the stock trans tunnel cross brace bolt on top of the subframe connectors but the torque arm brace would bolt under the SFCs?

because the torque arm was designed to bolt to the tunnel brace, nothing else. Thats a big part of the reason for your clearance issues. Even the 1" spacers you added prob only lifted the car 1/2" at most at the bracket considering its about center of the car.Doing less with more

Yeh guess so. I'll do it, it's that much more clearance that I'll gain. I know 100% that only changing the bracket to be under the SFCs wouldn't have fixed the problem by itself or else there wouldn't be people on LS1Tech saying that you can't use the longtube crossmember with the prokit springs so the combination of the spacers and changing the bracket to be under the SFCs may be the combination that needs to be done to get the clearance I need.- Brian Meissen

Yup, agreed. If I didn't have such a crappy driveway it really wouldn't even be an issue unless I encountered speed bumps. But I might as well squeeze that last 1/4-1/2 inch and it may allow me to get in and out of the garage without scraping.- Brian Meissen
