I have Falken FK452's on on my 4th gen, and I really like them. Reasonably priced. I have 17's all the way around, with 275's on the back and 245's on the front. I was $900 out the door. Should be a bit cheaper in Michigan than I paid in Onterrible with our taxes and BS "tire stewardship fee"...

Do you plan on driving it in the winter?

Those are all seasons. You won't get the performance out of them that you will of a "summer" performance tire I don't think.

If you drive it in the winter, then I guess it's a good compromise.

            My vote goes to BFG's

My dad has those continentals on his T/A. He seems to like them though, not the best for traction IMO. (Drove the T/A for 1 year when my green camaro was down)

I just bought continental DW's for my cobalt, but I can't mount them for a few months. I wanted the Michelin super sports but they were an extra $250 which I couldn't justify.

I think the better question is what size will you run then your pick your tires. The tire manufacturer's don't recommend it but I would try to use a 275 35 on all four corners.
But it might be cheaper easier to use 245 40s on all four corners.

time to upgrade your brakes with wheels that big/heavy!

Looks like most everybody has their own preference.

I'm going to run 255/45/18 ideally. 265 might be a stretch.

That is a tall tire to run on all four corners. a
A 255/45R18 tire is 27" tall I believe the stock Iroc tires were 25.6" In back you will be fine but up front you may have some issues

I started playing with the tire size calculator on discount tire. Would I be able to get a 275 on an 8.5 rim? Sounds pretty wide. Ideally i'd like to fill up the wheel well out back the best i can. Right now i'm running 245/50/16.

This is how it currently sits. photo6.jpg

Yes although the tire manufacturer recommends a 9" wide wheel

275 will fit as well, I just don't like the sound of it on an 18" rim. If they were 17's I'd have no issue with it

Not sure how 275's will fit up front though. My 255's rubbed but my car is dropped a bit.
