Yes I am lowered, pretty low... Sean is and was in those pics to I believe. But I only have 17's. I have had no problems with my 275's on the rear for the 100 miles I MIGHT have on themOriginally posted by ruckusz28 View PostWord. Darren, are you lowered at all?

Looks good! My old 4th gen was slammed. The K-sport coilovers almost took 2 inches out of the suspension. I would rub all over the place. Tore up a brand new set of drag radials on the third day I had them on. I'll never go this low again. I sold this in 09 and i believe it now lives near port huron. If anybody has seen this car, let me know. It will be mine again; oh yes, it will be mine again.

Sweet! Cant wait to see them on the car! BFG's are the way to go looks wise. Pricey and stiff sidewalls are the complaints I have heard about them. Your making it tough for my RS to look good this summer.sigpic

I looked for months for a nice hardtop and couldn't find one. When I was a kid I had an 89 and loved the ttops. Now that I'm older, I really don't like them as much, lots of body flex, leaks. They are the reason my headliner is scrap. I will admit in the spring and fall they are nice to have. Other than that I will take a hardtop any day.sigpic

Back to the tire recommendations.. Mickey Thompson just released a killer street/autoX tire. If you want the best, that's probably the way to go. But with M/T's comes a hefty price tag. It's called the "street comp", supposed to be pretty slick, in a good way lolPacesetter LT's, Pacesetter ORY, full MSD ign., 2 step, rear LCA's, SFC's, B&M Ripper, poly motor mounts, Nitto NT05R's, WS6 wheels, KYB AGX adj. suspension, Eibach Sprotline springs, Trickflow elbow w/K&N, All HVAC deleted w/ delete panel, no AIR, No EGR

price tag or not.. those 265/45's you were looking at are way to tall and will look terrible on there if you do it.. if you were looking to keep the price down. 18's were not the way to go with the rim sizeOriginally posted by ruckusz28 View PostAppreciate the recommendation! Looking to keep the price tag down though.

So my current setup is 25.65 tall/tire is 9.65 wide on a 8" wide wheel and I have 4.82" of sidewall
245/40/18 would put me at 25.72 tall/ 9.65 wide on a 8.5" wheel and 3.86" of sidewall.....This would put me with basicly an inch smaller sidewall and have an almost flush sidewall with wheel. This is what i'm leaning toward.
255/40/18 would put me at 26.03 tall/ 10.04 wide on 8.5" wheel and 4" sidewall.....This gives me a slightly wider tire with a slight roll on the sidewall and keeps the overall height almost the same
265/35/18 would put me at 25.3 tall/ 10.43 wide on a 8.5" wheel and 3.65" sidewall.....this would have 1 inch roll on both sides of the wheel and would be the biggest I would consider on these wheels.

245 is too small for the rear... I have 275 on my 8 inch wheel you would be fine. 245 would be fine for the front tire but you will not be happy in the rear.sigpic

True story. Last year I was rolling around 245's in the rear for my 98. I felt like I only had 1 testicle.Originally posted by Darren View Post245 is too small for the rear... I have 245's all the way around on my OEM 16" rims. Feels like one testicle that is shooting blanks.
With the 275's on my C5 rims on the back, I feel like a 2-ball man again.1995 Z28 Convertible. SLP CAI, Edelbrock shorty headers, Magnaflow catback, custom tune.
