nice tires, i hope to get some if i ever make it to a track, trust me the 10 bolt is on borrowed time with stock tires and stock everything.....anything over stock and a sticky tire won't last long....unless you don't drive your car

when you blow up your rear, i know a guy that builds some decent units

Let me know how long it lasts. Im debating whether or not to go drag radials in back or street tires and a backup set of slicks for the track.

Wussies. I've done several 5K RPM launches with my car on MT DR's and stock rear. I ease into the clutch vs just a straight dump so if anything the clutch slips before the rear will break. If I had a hard hooking clutch I might be in trouble.

Bought the same tires but 255s and love them to death. I'm sure the rear will go out but hey its gotta be upgraded sometime.

Unless you are pushing more then stock power I dont think you have too much to worry about with the 10 bolt detroitmuscle pushes alot more then stock power and has been running drags for a while now.I like the nitto drags better cause they hook on the street better then the mickeys imo

Nittos hook on the street? I thought they were barely better than normal street tires from everyone I've heard that's run them. I really have to dump the clutch at high RPM to get the MT's spin on the street. I'm stock though and putting down 327hp to the rear wheels.

lol the Nittos didn't seeme to ever hook for me. I haven't tried the mickeys on the street due to poor weather but I can assume the 1.79 60' times as opposed to 2.0 on Nittos speaks for itself. With some suspension on my car I see 1.60s easily.

Now I didnt say anything about the track mickeys hook very well at the track but not as good on the street. The nittos on the other hand work very well on the street and ok at the track.A 275 is what I have on the car

I broke my rear end twice on stock tires.
I run nitto's or 16 et street for street duty.
The nitto's go up in smoke under a 50 roll

I think a new clutch for sure and probably a rear end upgrade if i can afford it are in my future next year. Driving the car tonight the pedal is engaging pretty close to the floor. I guess those 180 or so drag strip runs are finally taking a toll on it!
