  • New Wheels.

When i bought this car i knew it needed new tires, so im looking to get them. but at the price of 275/40/18's and the fact that a 275/18 is too big for the front end on my car im looking at getting new wheels; staggered. looking to do 17x8's in the front and 18x10/18x10.5/18x11 in the rear.
The new wheels im looking at are Axis XMX, but im having a hard time deciding what tint i want. the matte silver or matte dark grey.

While im on the topic of wheels ill obviously have mine up for sale. MKW "luxury wheels" 18's in pretty decent shape. a little bit of corrosion in the corners of the 5 spokes. shoot me an offer

^^ that is a really old picture, ive got them much cleaner now.

The size of the wheel shouldn't affect whether it rubs or not. If you buy an equivalent sized tire there shouldn't be any difference. I have 245/40-18 on the front of my car and they dont rub

Please dont stagger sizes 18s dont rub, unless offsets and sizes are entirely wrong....275/35-18s here no problems. 275/40s are an inch taller and wider.

                Btw, silver would look great!

Personally I like the darker colored rims. I know that everyone is doing dark rims, but that's because it looks good!!

Corvette guys do.....and fbody owners that wish they had Corvettes. Some like the look...personally too hard to tell on these cars between 17 and 18 at a glance. No reason for it.

i want to keep the rear tire as wide as they are now if not wider. so if i take the ratio down to a 35 i should be good in the front?

26" overall diameter. Running 265/35/18's on the front, no rubbing, just the right amount of stretch.

                          Used to own a Firebird.

35 is only part of the equation....what do you have out back?

I had 275/35-18 and 295/35-18 in the rear on 9.5 and 10" wheels respectively. Rear's were within .5" taller than factory height of 25.6". Hard to tell but proportionally they were perfect.
