Do you want a trans mount our a full crossmember/TA setup? All of them pretty much do the same thing depending on the setup. My full UMI crossmember/TA setup is very nice but my TA hit the bolt that holds the fuel and brake lines on the tunnel. Also, the dual pivot setup caused a very undesirable (and very audible) clunk/thud when the TA loads and unloads during low speed cruise...likely because of my motor setup though because of the low RPM surge.

If you're going full length, you should replace the front mount with the new trans crossmember adjustable mount. I have always heard that for drag racing that the shorter, frame mount is better
When in doubt, Whip it out !

Short is better Til the car makes 800-1000hp. Short is better if you don't do any heavy braking(autocross/road racing)

All of theirs say for cars without long tubes.

I'm using pacesetter longtubes and duals bascally the same as yours.

All of theirs say without longtubes, I need it to work with my pacesetter and true duals.

Do you have a UMI on your car?

I don't see how what headers you have would make a difference as to what torque arm you can run, the only thing would be if you are running any kind of exhaust cross-over. I mean, the headers are not even close to the torque arm.

Your not going to get duals around a short TQ arm. Go Full length with a relocation crossmember. They are all the same until you get to Wolfe or Madman.

Those relocate to the transmission crossmember right? That should clear my duals... I know I had to remove the tunnel brace to clear them. I'd like to fab one up that'd work someday.

Yes a relocation crossmember has more clearance than a stock crossmember most of the time.

Good advice here most work just as well as the next, I would recommend an adjustable piece and if your going full length a relocation crossmember as well to get it off the tailshaft. That being said I feel UMI, BMR, and Spohn have the best quality products for a street driven car.

Duals can be done with a short crossmember-mounted torque arm, it's just a royal pain in the ass. The long-tube version adds more clearance for the Y-pipe to be placed in the crossmember, but also severely hurts ground clearance. If you were even consider trying to run duals with one, I'd get the non-long-tube version and use an H-pipe or be prepared for a funky looking exhaust system.

What is the problem with the torque arm being on the tailshaft?
