Ok thanks guys,but i think i know how and why the acidic cleaners destroy your rims.Judging by what the brake dust and stuff has done to the clear coat on the inner rim of the first rim i've cleaned, it's easy to see that any imperfection in the clear coat or chrome will let it in there and eat er away.
