Ok so I either store my camaro in a 2 car garage non heated or a pole barn thats not heated. my question is, I have nitto nt555 street tires (extreme summer performance blah blah blah). Will the cold ruin the rubber compound even if they are out of the elements? I'd rather store the rims inside but unless I throw it on jackstands I dont have anyother options. Just dont wanna ruin my tires.

I just put carpet or plywood under the tires when I park mine.. I've heard the concrete will suck moisture out of the tires if sitting an extended period of time... I don't know if it's true or not.. But that's what I do.. oh and my garage is unheated also.. Never any issues..sigpic

As far as I know, it is not the cold that kills tires. It is the concrete that sucks the oils and moisture out of the tires that shortens their life spans.

but 4 of the cheapie harbor freight dollies. They will get the tires up off of the concrete, they are curved on the bottom so no flat spotting, and it allows you to push your car close to the garage wall so it will be out of the way. When in doubt, Whip it out !

My car has been up on jackstands for a month now, I guess I am good! Plus the wheels have been off, lol. If the garage catches fire I hope it burns down! Insurance is a wonderful thing!

Get one and never look back. I have two and I use them on everything. Car/mower in the winter, and sleds in the summer.sigpicAnd another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end.

Mine sits in an unheated barn all year on concrete.. Just keep the mice away with some bounce sheets, hook up a battery tender, and don't bother messing with jackstands.. I've done this on both of my firebirds and my tires have been jussst fine.-Derek-
