  • Good Alignment Shop (For Fully Adjustable Suspension)?

Does anyone have a really good alignment shop that would be capable of working with my fully adjustable suspension? It seems like all the laser alignment shops in the area don't have a clue how to do it with fully adjustable aftermarket a-arms and/or slotted k-member holes. The computer tells them what bolts to change and that's it.

As an alternative, I've also been thinking about picking up an alignment tool from Eastwood to do it myself. I've actually got three cars on hand that need an alignment, so paying for all of those at a shop would come within $100 of grabbing the tool and doing it on my own.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

If you do find a good alignment shop they should not have a problem aligning your car. The reason they don't know how to adjust your car is because most of the modern day cars don't have many adjustments that you can do. Most of your alignment shops will only check you caster and camber and they will usually only set your toe and nothing else.
Those alignment tools from eastwood are good, but they are not perfect.
You really need to have both front tires on a roller pad (turn plate) to unload the front suspension and to be able to turn the front tires left and right to check the caster setting correctly.
If you do buy the tool you can rough in your alignment and then take it to a shop for the final adjustments.

Well yeah, that's pretty much what I was getting at. Most shops with "sophisticated laser alignment" systems rely on a computer to tell them what bolts to turn and how far (meaning they personally don't know squat about doing an alignment).

        Jeff, is this the place?

Any idea how much they charge? I'll give them a buzz later on in the week if this is the right shop.

        Thanks for the input guys.

Well on the other side of the State In Kalamazoo there is Roberts Corvette I took my car there cause I was pretty sure my torque arm was out of adjustment and they did a great job with the alignment, they have an old school manual alignment.

plus everything is drive on and drive off, the lifts are flush with the shop floor, so no worries on ripping or damaging gfx peices, they always done my front work when I lowered my trucks.
