If I stand on the pedal with the car off, it doesnt bleed down, just sits there, about half way through the pedal travel. Doesnt help to pump it at all.Originally posted by Plum Nuts View PostCan you pump the brakes and the petal is higher for a while? When you pump the brakes does the petal come up solid them slowly sink while applying pressure? If it sinks while applying presure you have a bad master cylinder. If you can't pump the petal and get the petal to come up solid then you have air in system. If you have low vacuumn to the booster because of cam, then you would still have a high petal but have to push harder for stopping power.
I am sure you bleed the brakes farthest away from Master first (pass rear) then in oeder to closest. Bleed the anti lock unit and the master first. We had a real hard time getting all the air out after B's engine swap and new lines. After the front aleinment his was 100% better and I think the impact wrench vibration from loosing the suspention bolts vibrated the air to the top.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....

That's what she said!Originally posted by sman View Postgets hard about half way through...never bleeds down, never gets any harder.

Sorry, I had to.
Do you know what kind of vacuum you're making?Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

I highly doubt its vacuum related, my brakes are just fine and my cam is bigger.Doing less with more

Bench bleeding kit. Comes with lines that go where the brake lines are (you have to disconnect them) Then you run them back into the fluid in the reservoir and pump the pedal until all the air is out. Then you reconnect the lines and bleed them. I guess you could also have air in the abs unit.Originally posted by sman View PostHow does one bleed the master?
