A drop spindle worked on Sam's car because it has the same setup at an S10. It's has an upper and lower control arm and coil spring with a shock going through it. A 4th gen has a strut setup in the front.

Probably because you actually have your bump stops. If you are missing your bump stops like I was - trust me, you'll bottom out. Driving down the freeway I'd hit random bumps and I'd bottom out. Nothing to do with the driver, everything to do with the road. Installed my new bump stops and tada no more problems.

My camaro also bottomed out all the time until I got my new bump stops installed as well. My car is also lowered.

I've never even seen a drop spindle for an Fbody. People use them all the time for S10's, Rangers, and other trucks though.

Very unconventional, and I do think the only reason to have them is to maintain your suspension geometry.


So everybody here loves their KYB AGX shocks? I was thinking about picking up a set as well and placing an order for some Sam Strano springs. I'd love to get some 4/4 Konis, but I can't justify the cost.

If you don't want to pony up for Stranos get Vogtland. They were designed by Strano and have a lifetime guarantee again stagging. That sold me and they ride like stock

Stock height is probably your biggest advantage and why you don't bottom out.
