  • Nick got fat chromes!!!

Well, funny story. . . Ben and I were driving out to check out the house my parents are closing on tomorrow, and on the way out to check out a local lake, we saw something shiny on the side of the road. . . stock 98 'vette wheels. . . I pulled over, and we talked to the lady who was selling them. She bought some C6 wheels, and she was getting rid of these. Chalk up another mod for Nick

    Wheels-Asking price: $100
What I talked her down to: $65
Deal? I think so. Here are a couple of pics. Rears are 18", with no tires, the fronts are 17", and they came with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. . .

That's already been discussed. I thought we were over it? The people in charge of CSF were kind enough to drop it, is this going to happen everytime I post here?

They aren't beat up, they are just dirty. Water spots and everything. I'll get better pics.

You might as well sell them to me because you aren't going to have any money to buy tires for them.

How much should the tires cost me? 18s are pretty expensive, from what I hear, but I'm not selling them. . . They are in excellent shape. Came off of a 98 'vette 'vert, I saw the car, beautiful. Sitting in the garage at her lake front home next to a 60's Nova wagon. . .

Well, I'd been saving up my pocket change for a while, just to try and help fix my car sooner, and when I saw these wheels, I emptied my change jar, and we pulled together about $25 in bottle returns. . . I'm still broke, now the broke ride of mine has some shiny new shoes. . .

As far as tires go, I'll probably go ahead and hit my dad up for a loan, or I'll wait until after I move to buy the rear tires. Hopefully these wheels will fit without scraping/bumping or anything. Anybody know if they will? I found a little curb rash on one of the rear wheels, and the chrome is peeling on both of the front ones, but I can always break out the spraypaint and go for the black/chrome look. . .
