well with the new motor in its way faster but i was still getting a lag off the start couldnt figure it out... get on a nice strech of road and stop then just mat it... leaving a 15-20 foot patch of rubber i didnt notice because its not squaking the tires at all just spinning them so fast they max out im guessing... right now its just got cheepo bfg TA old style on the rear 255 60 15's which is the biggest i can fit on the stock rim... i need new tires i can tell that now so what brand for that size would do me best?

I've heard good things about Nitto drag slicks!!!!!!!!!! Micky Thompson if you only use them at the track. I personally am wraping up the Torque Thurst rims in Nitto rubber.

well i have a pair or mickey slicks still... but i need a good street tire that will gain me back some of that off the line... still has to be good in rain and everything though i do drive it 50 miles to work every day... and getting stuck in the rain sucks as it is now...

            245-60-15 front

the only thing i can find with a decent dry and wet traction for that size is the khumo avid ST at tire rack... anyone use them before ?

found a nice set of c5 rims with adapters and even the pressure sensor still in them ... looks like 500-600 bucks shipped to the door they are 17x9 for the fronts and 18x10 for the rears... trying to find out what tires he has on them now i know they are the factory BFG zr's but not sure the size

I've not used them before, but I've heard good things about them. Almost every tire Khumo makes is decent.

I run the Nitto DRs as my track/street tire. They work great i am very happy with them. Rain i try not to drive my car in but when i do they are fine not like i push it then anyway. I get 1.7 60's at the track and from a 30 roll they'll lite up some but catch at about the top of first...i am still pulling hard though with the spin. Its kinda funny because if i am racing somebody decent power they'll keep up some.... till i catch.

I am going to pick up Mickey T's or Nitto 555R's for my Camaro soon. It sucks losing a race because you can't hook...

Go with the MT's if you want to hook every time. Nittos are hit and miss. People I know running them still spin like crazy if they hit hard out of the hole. The only time I spun mine was when I did a launch off the rev limiter. Otherwise I can do 5K rpm launches all day and it just hooks.

Yeah I have not had a good experience thus far with my Nittos seeing as all I could hit with my H/C setp and these was a 2.2 60' at the track off idle (stalling it up resulted in MASSIVE spinning). I would love to slap some MTs on there but they don't last long enough for DD so I'll be going BF next.

Well we'll see again this weekend at Lapeer but right now I'm about ready to order a set of the Mickey Thompson street radials and forget the fact that they only last 5000 miles.
