  • widest tires??

hey everybody im sure theres already a post on here somewhere about how wide you can go in the rear of your 4th gen. ive managed to fit 315/30r18 in the rear with a 18x10.5 +58. i had to do some very slight tubbing of the inner wheel well but it only took 5 minutes or so. ive heard of people fitting 11" rims but with spacers. i didnt haft to use and spacers at all. im just interested to see what people have done.

ill get pictures of mine up shortly..

11's will fit fine w/out spacers if you get the right offset. It all depends on the offset of the rim whether you need do some customizing or not.

were i bought my rims from told me they were only for vettes. so i told them to go #%ck themselves and i decided to prove them wrong. ive seen alot of people talkin about using old zr1 rims with 1" spacers. seems like alot to me and i wouldnt want all that extra stress on my axles. did anyone remove the axle bump stops at all because mine are still there.

People use the 17x11" Zr1 wheels in the rear on 4th gen F-bodies, with no spacers. Sometimes the bump stop does need to be modified. IE cut down. I don't think that people usually just remove them tho, you kinda need them, lol.

ive just seen to many post of people sayin they needed spacers but they can fix there car after those bearings get shot. you actually do not need to bump stops if you run the right rear end suspension components. i got rid of the bump stops because in the eibach drag spring kits it comes with the airbag for the RR so it doesnt hit the bump stop and if your torquing your car far enough to the point where ur hitting the bump stops you have prolems that need to be fix ASAP...

Bump stops are there for shitty roads when your suspension bottoms out. I've had it happen.

a lot of people dont have issues..if you do you can grind the side of the bumpstop so it doesnt rub. Personally I have no issues with the bumpstop, but had some problems with the fender
