I'm thinking about these, if I can afford them.

that would be nice for your driving... your never going to see snow and the only thing you might run into is rain.. so your getting alot of rubber on the ground but still safe if it pours.... still 155 a tire... i bet you can find it cheeper still not bad though.. did you check summit or jegs? they have a deal on tires once in a while, specially the nicer street tires.. i saved 25 bucks a tire on my BFG's going through jegs... still have to get them mounted and balanced but most places do that cheep...

I have heard that those tires are the best hooking street tire next to a DR from many people on LS1tech I'd say those would work very well.

Those are what I'm getting to replace my RSA tires in June. My car never sees rain or snow unless my DD breaks down.. but then I have mudding tires for it in the winter... so awesome summer tires it is. Those RSAs are crap.. I didn't even get 30000 out of em and I drive like a grandma... They are also like 220 per tire and the F1s (a superior performance tire) are only 165 shipped... Anyone know how much it is to get the tires mounted and balanced at Discount or Bell?

The only thing I dont like about these is that they are directional tires.

Are you planning on using them for track or road or both? Mickey Thompson or Nitto are good tires...

Mostly road, maybe track once or twice a year.

In that case I would probably go with the Mickey Thompson Sportsman or Street Drag Radials.

Not sure, have to look at them tonight. Regardless, I can torch them at will, lol.

I don't think DR's are justifiable for 1 or 2 trips to the strip. I need something I can drive on the street 95%+ of the time.

i love my BFG tires, any of their tires are great performers. my kDW2's are amazing. maybe look into some kD (dry) summer tires since you store the Z in the winter right?

those would probably be my choice
