Has anyone replaced the front control bushings on a 4th gen Firebird/Camaro? How did you change them?

the first side i pressed them in with a vice and it bent them and i took a cheisel and fixed them but when i did the other side i cut a C basically out of some metal to go inbetween the control arm so it didn't bend when i pressed in the bushing. you'll see what i mean when you look at itsigpic

ball joints will be cake, you can get the lowers out with a bfh, i used a press to install mine, the hot a hand tool that can do it as well, uppers are easy just grind the rivets off.sigpic
