Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Well i started today, i figured id make a progress thread. This will either be a great success or a miserable failure, we'll see what happens. For what ill have invested, i have nothing to lose.
What is the goal here? Are you going to paint them? Powdercoat? Chrome? I don't know what you're trying to do! lol
Exactly what I was going to ask .......
So you're going to try and polish them? Cool ...... good luck

Perhaps i should clarify further. the machined surface you see on the 35th wheel already exists below the paint of the everyday Silver SS wheel. All i have to do is strip the paint, re-paint the black accents on the inside, and buy a set of 35th center caps.
however, I might ditch the machined surface anyway and do a polished "chrome" rendition of the wheel. Depends how much work it is.
ya if that stripper doesn't work you might want to send them out to get media blasted cause that paint is probably pretty tough. that way you'll know you got everything off of them and have a clean slate to start with. you could have those powder coated as long as you tapped off that machined surface. it would be way more durable. they will definitely look better tho with that color combination than what you have right now. good luck.

ya, the stripper isnt working as good as it has on other things in the past. Im gonna get some commercial grade shit from my dads work and give it a try.
How much does powder coating run? I was just going to spray paint these, ive never had an issue with it before with proper prepping.
