Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Here are some pictures of my starting point. This is the worst wheel, and also the one with the chip in the chrome. As you can see the pitting is pretty bad, but the outer surface is still mint... so theyre perfect for what i need. Just going to take some effort to prep!
theyll be fine. The outer face of the wheels really look good less than one chip and thats all that matters. Im going to hit the pitting between the spokes with a dremel tomorrow, and ill probably use an air wheel on the insides to clear that mess up. Then they should be ready for the chasis saver!
the chrome on the faces looks mint! That ship isnt as bad as I thouht, you could just put some silver touch up paint on it to try to get it to blend in.
And good idea on using a dremel, a wizzy wheel would wory really well too on the drums
I would suggest masking them off with good duct tape and sand blasting the wheels between the spokes. This will loosen the loose chrome and it will provide a surface for the paint to stick to. It might not to be a bad Idea to sand them by hand after or prime them to achieve the smoothness your looking for.
BTW- I don't know if anyone said this already. I didn't feel like reading the whole thread

This thread goes back a couple years so i wouldnt expect you to
Thats a good idea but i dont have ready access to a blaster. I think the dremel will work fine.
Seeing this thread pop up again reminded me that theres only like 2 weeks until the GVSU car show, which makes me wonder if I should head home and touch up my rims or stick with the salad shooters until the salt goes away....GR just dumped a bunch on the roads the other day
