OR, you guy's could do what I had done from the factory. . . . MANUAL WINDOWS! I have 'em, and let me tell you, it has done WONDERS for my 1/4 mile times! lol My sister's power window motor in her '99 Monte Carlo LS went out, and she can't find a replacement anywhere. . . . .

Yeah they aren't too expensive. Pretty easy to fix too. I worked with a guy on my Grand Am that fixed the window motor for gosh sakes. I didn't have to buy any parts at all!

Actually the window motors are something like $120 or so, I don't know why they don't find bigger ones that won't burn out due to the massive windows we have.

Yea I got one off ebay and had some guys in Clinton Township put it on for me for 60 bucks but I think I'll end up doing the driver side myself, one day..

Would it be worth buying some up? And headlight motors too?

yeah window motors are a B-atch to swich out in our cars.... my parents Trans Am....my step dad and i did the passanger side in that car.... it only had 8,000 miles on it when it went!!! but yeah my step-dad and i changed that one and it was a PITA!!! when my passanger side went on my SS, i just took it to a body shop and had it done. (luckily my girlfriend at the time, her mom is the secretary and her whole family runs/owns it.....) so i got everything at cost!

if u think the Window Motors are bad, wait till you Firebird drivers have your headlight gears strip. Talk about fun.

My passenger side window motor needs replacing at some point. My dad bought me the motor for christmas either last year or the year before and I've yet to replace it yet just because of how much of a PITA it's going to be.

If your headlights stop working look up a set of brass gears for them and order them, they should be around $75 from some guy that has them made. I replaced mine a year or so ago and now I'll never have to worry about it again.
