I wouldn't do the RE71R or the ZII for track days, they don't have the heat tolerance for a big heavy car like this with no camber. Something like an RS3 or orginal Rival would be better if they are still available, maybe R888s but I've never used them.

Interesting that the current tires still have that issue. The Michelin Pilot Sport AS2s on my T/A had the same reputation. I've never had the issue, but perhaps because I've never pushed them that hard.
