Man that's a good looking harness!! So is it all re-pinned and wired for the engine and trans swap?

It's a new harness from Howell Engine Developments specifically made for an E38 controller, 4L60, and the other components I'm swapping into the third gen.

RPM built 4L60 and converter arrived today.







I've been stopped on the car until the powertrain is ready. These are the expensive parts and I'm almost done collecting them.

Ok, I have to apologize. I was one of the guys that was giving you a hard time about cutting up a rare 1LE car earlier in the thread. This thing is coming out amazing. Had I known that you were this meticulous about things I would have never. I cant wait to see more progress.

Big progress. I have the LS3 now and I'm prepping it for install. I swapped the oil pan to C6 Corvette and the damper/water pump to 5th Gen Camaro.11133747_10152739729156850_8284908929127081098_n.jpg

Added 4th gen engine mounts.

Mounted the 1991 Camaro EOP sensor using the block off plate from a C5 which worked out well. It just needed to be drilled and tapped for the new thread.

I installed a second coolant temp sensor to run the gauge.

Finished up some of the powdercoating I had remaining. I powdercoated the hood latch bracket and painted the latch mechanism satin black.

All stock. With headers and a tune it will be plenty of power for the application. This is just a street/show car.

Have you ever seen anybody try it with the C6 pan? I haven't been able to find it. Only with F-body and truck pans. The C6 is pretty low profile.

I think the issue isn't so much to do with the depth as it is with the length of the lower 'valley' which is like 13.5, in comparison to the f-body's 11.5. I would imagine the cut into the K-member would be rather significant and probably take away a bit of integrity from it as well to fit that pan.

Far as I know your vet pan will not work with stock k member unless you notch it and I also remember people saying it hits the right side control arm?

I did find one individual who used the vette pan on TGO. No clean pics of the cut he made into the K though.
