Can you argue that it's "revolutionary"? Perhaps. Just because it's "new" and "different" doesn't mean it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Thanks guys to all the guys that offered to help. This week is poor for me as I will be going out of town on thursday. I sure will be requesting help when I get back. I am going to get a couple quotes to see what it would cost to fix if I took it in so I can start that process with the court. My major concern is that he put his used rod bolts in and if the parts I cant see are the parts I bought.
So I need to
Verify
Rod bolts
rods
pistons
cam
fuel pump
torque convertor get any number to find spec
Ported heads.
Need to fix
Strut tower bolts
nitrous line
Steam Vent
Exhaust
All the little items that he did not do.

That is not good because this thing is blue. I will post a pic that he posted you can see it in the right corner. when I asked why it was blue he said he put matts in it by mistake and had to change it out.Last edited by lanzar4155; July 1st, 2014, 10:28 AM.

I had a 3600 yank ss he said he had someone that wanted to trade a new 3800 yank ss so i said ok. well then when I saw this pic I asked and said that was Matts. So I asked agin when I picked up the car and thats when he said a vigs. So I have no Idea what this is.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postwhat brand was it supposed to be? most Vigs I have seen were pinkish purple and yanks are all red.

what i dont understand is why would he even put matts in yours if it was not the correct trans that it belonged to anyway. or was he saying the whole trans was matts?

Steve - it sucks but I'd tear down everything and start from scratch. Go over everything. Document everything.
You have no idea what has or hasn't been done. Stupid stuff like the oil pickup tube bolt or seal might be missing.2000 Formula

I know, I would hope not as well, but after searching through hundreds of pictures of converters the one I posted and a few diesel converters are the only ones I found that are blue.
EDIT: apparently a company called RECON makes them as well, but all they do are generic rebuilds. Like a factory replacement.Last edited by sman; July 1st, 2014, 11:51 AM.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....
