great thing about square bodies as opposed to fbodies is if the frames good and bodys shot you can easily swap it and sometimes thats the easier route but thatd be dsomething id take care of first like everyone said.

    • The only rust is the rocker panels and the lower front fenders.

Secondly there is mechnaical issues that need to be fixed first.
Obviously this thing doesn't want me to get to work.

      Tire blew out last Wednesday.
Which lead to my Cruze breaking going into the shop.
So I drove the Blazer all weekend without a problem I even drove it to Woodward.
Today I am driving down 15 and lost all forward gears.
I had to reverse down 15 mile and through the neighborhood back to my house because it was the only gear I had.

Its cursed for going to work with.

        • Nope. 1-2-D nothing. Only reverse.
After a while of sitting I started it back up and got it to go into 1 but I hit the gas and I heard a clunk so I pulled it out of gear.

Going to try to change the fluid and filter just to be able to move it around. When it gets warm I will probably tear it out and rebuild the trans myself, since I wanna learn how to do it anyways.

          Just more projects haha.

Nah those are meant to be in there.
                    Aerates the trans fluid.

So the I ordered the full rebuild kit upgraded for towing.
Ordered a new forward drum and input shaft.

I think I am going to have the case powder coated black.
So when that comes I get to start on rebuilding the trans.

Since I have the NP203 out I am probably going to tear that apart replace the chain and gaskets and seals.

                      • Well finally got around to tearing it down further. Found out the forward drum piston is cracked. So going to need a new one of those.
Sometime I have to take the stuff to Detroit Gearbox to be hot tanked and bushing pressed in. Then I can start the reassembly.

Currently have the valve body apart and getting ready to make sure all the valves work freely in the bores.

                        • Just made some progress on the transmission.

Have the direct clutch back together.
Starting on the pump, have to get my torque wrench and bearing installer back from Tyler.

The only thing I can't get together or put back in the case right now is the forward clutch cause I bent the spring retainer trying to use C clamps. Now I have the proper tool so once I pick up a spring retainer from Rich I will be able to get everything back together.

Yes I am lazy and slow.

                          • My buddy came over and I got about 80% of the TH350 back together. All thats left is have to pick up a forward drum spring retainer from Rich, assemble the forward drum, drop the direct drum and forward drum in, put the 2nd gear band in, then the pump. Throw the valve body back in, throw the governor in and modular, 2-3 shift accumulator and seal her up.

                              • Still haven't had time to get the spring retainer from Rich. Hoping to get up there this week.
Then the trans can finally be finished.

Changed the front wheel studs and greased the hub assemblies. They have to come apart though because I realized after I put it back together I did it wrong haha.
