You really should put a price on your Craigslist offering for a '95 Firehawk...how is anyone supposed to buy it?

      "No low ballers"......

OK, I'll give ya $1100 for it...but you have to take off the Firehawk stickers first...

Eh, that's a very misleading ad... I seriously hope that you plan to tell anyone who looks at the car that all indications are that it's not a true Firehawk...

I'm interested Bob, can you PM me to discuss details. I'm liking what you've uncovered with this car, very intriguing.

So your going to completely miss represent this car and TELL someone it's a firehawk and a rare car? You know nothing about this car or what it really is. Dude that is just wrong. You paid $1050 for the car and say no low balers? I will give you $1500 for the car and pick it up tomorrow to save this from you. Ill even let you make a little money for you little time and to reimburse you for those firehawk stickers you put on the car.

Paet of me wishes this isn't your car listed here, but I'm not dumb enough to believe that. The other part of me hopes it is your car and your character shows through this.

What a DICK Move. You don't need to advetise it as something its NOT! You really didn't need to throw firehawk stickers on it to make money on it. For what you paid for it you could have still made a few thousand on it with the formula decals in place.

I think we should all start posting the before and after pictures on every message board we can find to try and help somebody from getting screwed.

Look in your glove box again...For LT1 Firehawks, 'R6V' should be on the SPID label according to the firehawk.net page... is it on there ?

Also, it should have 'WS9' if its a Formula.... 'Y82' if its a T-A... although I don't think they made 'hawks in T-A trim then.

VIN by itself may not tell you... does anyone have access to RPO build data from the VIN? GM system does not go back to '95 anymore.... not that I can find.

Yes it will if you have the right tools at your disposal.

Ad is VERY misleading. "rated at 1000HP". . . Yeah. And under the hood looks like that?

I don't think I've ever seen a Firehawk with 16" rims, no ram-air hood, and with cloth seats. Not saying they aren't out there, but without verification that this is a genuine Firehawk, that's a really shady way to make money off someone who doesn't know the difference. . . Looks like a pretty basic Formula that someone tossed decals on to me.

Eh, it's evidently open knowledge, but there's a site out there called compnine.com that has many (not all) VINs with attached RPO codes that reliably go back to the early '90s.

However, the further back you go, the sketchier your success rate gets. But this one would likely fall into the probable-to-likely catagory of actually attaching the RPOs to the VIN.
