More like 6'5" problems. I'm in Europe right now, havent seen a single guy as tall as me yet, and even though no one is fat no one is in good shape either.-Joel

So here is my once in a blue moon update..
Quick back story:
I started having clutch issues this year while I was on the track but only shifting at high RPM (high speed lockout) so I bled my master and noticed some air had came out. I went back out on the track but the problem got worse and the pedal felt horribly spongy. So I repeated the bleeding process numerous times with only marginally better results. I got home from the track bled it again and still no luck with the pedal firming up. I drove the car only a few more times, trying to diagnosis the issue and what could be causing the pedal to be so damn spongy. Ultimately I knew I was just delaying the inevitable and had to pull the trans...
Flash forward to this week:
With nice weather taunting me I decided I wanted to get this problem solved and hopefully drive my car a few more times before putting her to bed for the season. The following two pictures should illustrate my findings pretty well...

The hole in the bellhousing scared the pooh outta me but there is no other mark on the side of the tunnel where the counter weights came out. Funny story with this one is that Brian had came over to help me bleed my clutch one day and we had found one of the counter weights that got snapped off in my engine bay but couldn't for the life of us figure out where the hell they came from (the weight also fits perfectly inside a gouge in one of my tires)!
Anyway looks like I'll be needing to pick up a new clutch and bellhousing now... I love cars

Time for a new update with my car! It's been almost a complete year since I broke something so enjoy the carnage everyone!

Here are my replacement parts for now until I decide what route I want to go with when building a fab 9.
I'm using a Eaton Truetrac and also trying out 3.73 this time. Should make for an interesting experience when I'm on a course again.

Better build something stronger ASAP. With the way you drive that one will come apart sooner rather than later. Plus "Built" 10 bolts are still only worth about $300.Originally posted by DRYSUMP View PostTime for a new update with my car! Agreed with Mike. 3.73 is smaller pinion... If the 3.42 popped so will this!
I plan on getting a Dana 60 for my car, but i for sure will be using a 3.73 gear when the time comes.-Joel

You could always buy a rotisserie, roll it on its side and push it in the corner permanently. Probably save wall spaceOriginally posted by DRYSUMP View PostI actually am keeping a (growing) collection of my broken parts as my garage art pieces... I really would like to stop adding to it now lol
