Well today i purshased rotor n pads for the 8.8 and drilled the rotors for chevy lug pattern

Dropped the axles off to get milled down last night so i can run my vette wheels.

Just need to add my fluid n put the brake lines in cant wait

Well finally got the axle in and wheels on. More pics tmr. I raised it up a inch in the back hard to tell in the grass probably lower it all little

Thank you sir. It wasnt a direct axle swap so it took patience for sure but i got it. Going from the 3.08 open 10 bolt to the 3.73 8.8 lsd is def nice : )

noticed a not so beautiful noise from the blazer today

after a oil change and cutting my tail pipe off and putting a turn down on. i noticed a little bit of hestation maybe sluggish and a long time to decel. not saying any of this caused my new noise. but i dont know its always something last night my cts wouldnt start and now this.

Looks good. I've always wanted that truck.

Fwiw, when I had my 2.4x gears in my 78 imp, it wouldn't go beyond 5500 rpms wide open. Now with the 3.73 gears, it screams up to 7000. Gears definitely make a difference

Anyone have any ls7 lifters? Or new headgaskets head bolts etc

The last few days you have seen i discovered a noise in the motor. Well today i finished pulling the heads off and getting the lifters out and this is what i found.

3 pretty ate up lifters and a few others with scored, flat spots etc





Lobe on cam ate up hard to see pic tmr after pulled

So now i dont know what to do... let it sit til i can do what i want n build it or out it back to stock =\ cant believe how much it cost to fix lifters would be now throw a cam into the mix and nrw timing chain etc blah blah blah she might be parked til next season
