so now onto the rear quarter panel, wich is in awesome shape no rust holes at all,or any bondo anywhere, havent found any bondo yet.makes me feel a little guilty using a guide coat of bondo in oplaces to make it completely straight,so i sanded my quarter panel with 180,then 400 grit until it was all smooth, then layed my 2 coats of 2k primer down, the paint that was already on the car was still in good shape even after 33 years, amazing it was just faded bad, probably could have buffed it out and made it look ok,but really wanted a blue z28.i got a steal on this car its in amazing condition and picked it up from a freind for 500 bucks, him and his son were gonna restore it,then his son decided he didnt want to,and the guy really needed the money,so now the passenger side is completely in primer, and havent found one spot of rust yetor havent found a single spot of bondo repairs that made me really happy.its amazing the condition for being 33 years old,the car was mosty only used for drag racing with just the stock engine, even has the air and heater delete already done, plus it was kept in storage for over 12 years its originally a texas car came here to michigan 5 years ago.
