I have a cover you can have, but I would bet yours would prob be fine, drain the fluid and use RTV to seal it up, wait a day then fill it I bet it will be fine then.

yep ditch them and use rtv, gotta let it sit up for a few hours though before filling it. I think that in itself will solve your issue.

If you catch enough of the fluid when you pop the cover off can you reuse it? I just put royal purple in my pumpkin not too long ago but I notice I have a slow leak too... I think I reused the gasket if anything.

Good question,that would suck if I popped it off, put RTV on, and still leaked in same spot. Don't want to spend more than I want to.

yes you could reuse it if its fresh and still leaking.

Well I'll just pick up the RTV and see if that solves my problem. Hopefully it does. Should I try bending the cover back or leave it be?

Yea, never leaked before before that incident. Plus I've wanted a TA girdle for awhile so this is my excuse to get one.

I've always used Permatex ultra black or preferably "The Right Stuff" on both sides of a gasket and have never had a leak. I'd pop the cover off and stick a straightedge on the bent part and bend it back accordingly.

Ok picked up the RTV..I bought permatex High temp red RTV silicone gasket maker...Bought the right one?

Orielly's didn't have any Mobil One or Valvoline 75-90, so going to check some places tomorrow. Hopefully fix this by Wednesday, or even tomorrow.

Make sure that stuff says safe for gear lube, some are not. Black is the best and generally nothing will harm it.

Yea just read front to back didn't say anything about gear lube. Part number 81160 (26BR)

These are two mods I have debated on doing on and off for years... what kind of difference did you notice with them, if any? I'll admit I didn't read all 14 pages to see if you installed them yet
