The LS9s Head gaskets ready and waiting as well as my springs. I havent touched it this week at all. I'm going to wait on my order from Texas speed first. I think I want to do the rod bolts before installing the heads. Its not exactly easy spinning this engine over with the heads installed. The engine should be done internally this week.

I'm thinking about hitting up Lapeer Dragway opening weekend to get a few more passes on the old sbc setup. Anyone interested in going? Im thinking Sunday since I work every Saturday

Whats so special about the ls9 head gaskets? They look just like every other MLS LS engine head gasket ive used.

They're 7 layers vs. the 5 layer lq4 gasket. Same thickness

Day by day. Everything gets more and more expensive from here on out. Lol. Im not buying bolts and gaskets anymore.. lol its turbo piping, injectors, a harness, and all the expensive crap. Oh and 40232 AN fittings that I'll only end up using maybe 4 of em. LOL

Woot! Texas Speed shipment came in today. Unfortunately it snowed 4+ inches of snow last night so I didn't really have motivation to get anything done before work. I'll just have to do it after work.

Well, I got tires mounted up today. I bought some used MT's just to get me through the season. I plan on switching over to some bias ply ET Streets after this turbo setup gets finished. A few more things I got done. Rod bolts are in, windage tray is bolted up and the oil pickup too.

I need a valvespring tool so I can bolt the heads on and some oil pan bolts. Just about complete

I have a valve spring tool. I don't know if you can do it with the heads on though because you hit it with a hammer and it has magnets that suck up the keepers then to install you the springs you just put the other part of the tool on and hit it again and the keepers fall in. To do it on a bench all you do is put a rag under the heads so the valves don't hit the table.
