Yeah, they look great, but EVERYBODY has one. I want to do something a little different. I was oogling one on 6LE.com, and I saw one that looks like a regular SS spoiler, but is 1 piece instead of 2, is a little taller, and has no 3rd brake light, but for the price, I could pick up 2 SS spoilers. lolOriginally posted by MunsterZ28 View Postthat sucks, i had to replace a couple studs on my car, it sucked. a ss spoiler i think is a must for these cars. i want a lt1 one so bad. i wish i didnt sell my old one. yea my car was out in march last year.Nick H.

The friend of mine who is helping me do all the work has a red LS1 Z28, we're going to be blacking out the tail panel, and probably tinting his taillights in the next couple of days, while we work on pulling the quarter panel. He seems to think my car would look better without lowering it, but with a body kit (RS kit). I took a good look at the car yesterday and for it to even think of looking decent, I'm going to have to find some way to fill out those wheel wells, because it looks like a 4x4 right now. lol
I think I'll be swapping the coils off the 'bird onto the Camaro, but installing new shocks once I can afford them.
Next up, however, I'm going to grab a floor jack and a creeper and do the $.99 CAGS/Skip-Shift Eliminator today. That "feature" has annoyed me too much in the past few days, I can't stand it. Considering I'm still only at the 3/4 tank mark on the gas gauge and I've already driven like 85 miles on this tank so far, I think I'm doing pretty well.Nick H.

Looks like my "project" thread is already dying. . . I need more pics!
Got the "Skip-Shift" disabled, just pulled the plug on the trans. Also took the car to the car wash, partially because it needed a bath and I had tokens from last year, and partially because I wanted to see just how badly the t-tops leaked. . . They leak bad. Driver's side leaks at the front, where the t-top seal meets the windshield weatherstrip seal. Passenger side leaks all over, I blame the window motor that's on it's way out.
I get paid tomorrow, I'm going to order the new rocker panel. I'm looking into possibly replacing the quarter panel on the passenger side as well, but I need to get a better look at it after I pull the bumper.Nick H.

It's a little late, and I have no idea what TL;DR means. . . I'll run outside and snap a few pics, assuming I can find my camera and the cord that goes to it. . .Originally posted by meissen View PostTL;DR - need pics
Edit: I looked that up, not impressed, mister 50 billion posts. Seems like someone needs to quit whoring it up and start listening instead of talking all the damn time. lolNick H.

No pics tonight, I found my Olympus 12mp Digital Camera, and the charger, but I can't find the USB cable that goes to it to save my life. . . It doesn't use a regular Mini-USB A/B cable, it uses some proprietary cable that has the ability to completely vanish for months at a time. . .
Pics tomorrow, I'll pick up my DSLR from my friends house, I left it there a few nights ago.Nick H.

Anyone have any input on how to get rid of the "sloppy" feeling of the stock shifter? I was thinking of eventually going with a Pro 5.0 and a Lou's Short Stick, that seems to be a pretty popular setup, but I'm open to other suggestions.Nick H.

I saw a hurst shifter on LS1Tech, but I've been reading up on my options, and so far, people who have used both the Hurst and the Pro 5.0 like the Pro 5.0 better. . . I want a solid shifter that doesn't feel like it has a whole lot of room to wiggle around when in gear. The stock shifter feels sloppy, I want it to feel a little more controllable. I hate the fact that the slop in the shifter is causing me to miss 3rd gear as often as it does. I drove my bro-in-law's 04 Nissan 350Z with the 6 speed, he had a short throw shifter with a short stick in it, it felt AMAZING.Originally posted by MunsterZ28 View Posthurst and be done lol. short stick is ok but i just have a random one. lol gay as it sounds i dont like em to short.Nick H.

Ah, screw it. I don't plan on selling the car, so I really don't care about you guys knowing what I paid.
Picked it up for $1500 cash. He was asking $2200, I talked him down to $1700 over the phone, showed up with $1500, he jumped on it.Nick H.

nothing wrong with saying what you paid for it, LT1 cars are cheap now and can be had very cheap. Brian picked his up for 2k but your 6 speed is much more desirable. Great pick up got it cheap enough to put some money in it and maybe make some if you did want to sell it.Originally posted by 93formulalt1 View PostAh, screw it.
