Nick if you don't mind telling, what did you pay for it? You can PM me if you want. Ive been scouring craigslist for a month now looking for a killer deal (and have seen many i couldnt quite afford), but i never saw this car.-Joel

I'll take another look. What's the RPO code for the 6 speed? Is it just going to be indicated by the lack of the MX0 (Auto OD trans) rpo code?Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostIt was swapped then? ALL 6-speed cars from 94-02 came with 3.42s.Nick H.

I was wrong, just checked the RPO codes again, it has the GU6 code, it is a 3.42 car.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postnot sure, you may be right.
Anyone with 4.10's care to inform me what kind of changes I can look forward to? Acceleration changes, gas mileage (city and highway), loss of top end, etc. I'm trying to decide between 3.73's and 4.10's, and I don't want to lose too much in the way of gas mileage. . .Nick H.

you will gain city mileage switching to 4.10s and remain consistent on the highway. However that said, I think 4.10s are overrated if you ever actually intend to make any power. I still have 3.42s in my car and I would never want 4.10s with my existing combo. Id be shifting gears as much as I would be in them. They are a good mod for a stock car. But get used to skipping gears!Last edited by JoeliusZ28; February 10th, 2011, 06:04 PM.-Joel

Haha....after installing 4:11's in my car I'd never go back to a 3:42 like I had. Car felt like it gained 75hp after the swap.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postyou will gain city mileage switching to 4.10s and remain consistent on the highway. I'll probably go to 3.73s or 4.10s after I build my next engine because I'll be spinning the RPM to put them to use.-Joel

The higher RPM you can spin the longer you can stay in gear.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. I need to get one of thosesigpicOriginally posted by ryanwarby01Put it this way, if you have a money tree a LT1 is a wood chipper!

right, which is a concern for me doing road racing. right now ive got a 5850 rpm rev limiter. Granted not everyone cares about that.Originally posted by Fox Slaughter View PostThe higher RPM you can spin the longer you can stay in gear.
I guess it all depends what you are doing with the car. Bigger gears are always going to put more power to the ground and with a closer ratio they help you carry more momentum into the next gear. But that is the last thing I want to do right now, I was blowing the tires out the water in 2nd gear even before i did any weight reduction. (See video) Now it gets squirrely in 3rd. I think I would need a lightweight flywheel for 4.10s to work decently. My car will never see drag radials or slicks as I am setting it up for twisties.Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostI dont understand?
