Honestly, I need to be more motivated if I want this thing done in time for the Summer M&G. Especially since it looks like I will be taking on another project car on FridayOriginally posted by OIF1VET View PostCan you pass some of your motivation this way? That pic in the snow looks killer!!

Not much to update this far, but as I am starting to sand the car down I have run into a few questions.
1: Does the top trim piece on the windshield come off? Does it just snap in?

2: How does the little black triangle behind the side windows come off?

3: The trim piece around the back window where it meets the deck lid, does it come off?

These all just look like inconveniences when trying to paint the car.Last edited by jetice; October 15th, 2011, 08:11 PM.

The triangle piece behind the door, I'm not 100% on this, but I believe it has a quick-nut on the inside of it, you'll have to remove the interior plastic panels to get to it, and it just threads off. As far as the trim above the windshield and below the rear window, I'm not sure on those either, so I won't guess. I'll see what I can find out though, I may know someone who can tell me accurately how those come off.Nick H.

Just a little update,
Front bumper almost fully sanded
Rear bumper about 60% sanded
Headlight covers sanded
Quarters not even started
Hopefully going to dive head deep into this project this weekend. I think I gave my motivation to Larry as I have not wanted to work on this for a few weeks.

Got some more work done this weekend. Not much, but next weekend I should be able to finish this side, and get the DS quarter and both rockers blocked and prepped.Last edited by jetice; October 15th, 2011, 08:14 PM.

Does your dad do body work or are you just learning as you go?

Thanks for the compliments!
My dad has done a lot of body work, and I have learned most of what I know from him. I am finding out, though, that he is not as picky as me, so now I am having to go to my uncles to learn more. I should do more to make it as good as I want, but my dad wants me out of his barn. So that will have to wait until I get my own place.
