Best case scenario the wire for the oil sensor is on the fritz, worst case scenario the pump isn't working which would mean the distributor gear which meshes with the cam is either worn down that it's no longer meshing or the cam ate the distributor gear for lunch.

The unfortunate part is the only way to really check if it's a mechanical and not electrical issue would be to drain the oil, drop the k-frame, and drop the oil pan. If you have a strut tower brace, you can use a tow strap to wrap around the strut tower brace and then wrap it around your crank's hub to hold the engine up while you drop the kframe.. It's a little hairy but that's what I did and it held.

Cam gear was fine, and the oil pickup did not fall off. Got it all put back together, and corrected a few small issues we found in the tear down. Put some shell rotella in it along with a filtermag, going to drive it around for this week and change the oil next weekend.

Was it from the mounting hole cracking like they do? Good deal that everything else is fine!

Nope, the housing was fine, but we still got a new one. The only thing we can contribute it to was the fact that the entire engine was compromised at one time, then after the rebuild, having very high oil pressures stressed the drive gear. The drive gear did not abruptly fail by the looks of it, it was worn down for a period of time until the teeth got too thin to hold the pressure, and they stripped out.
Here is what the rest of the teeth looked like
