Is it just me, or does it look like that's what they actually did? I see what looks like an aluminum spacer between the intake runners and the head...

Exactly what they did....and had to do. CNC flanges stolen from some Marcella intake POS (lol - you're welcome Jeff) and will correct the angle. Shawn figured he'd have to do it anyway, just hoped not. No effect on performance, flange will be o-ringed to ensure a good seal.

Actually was his "good" camera....I think he was shaking

Better pics to come. At that point he was fitting the adapters. He hopes to get it on the dyno next week if the new cam's arrive.....yes, cam is plural.....

Yeah, I'm sure you won't have trouble with it. I think they (Kinsler) should have fixed it properly just on principle considering how much those intakes cost. Oh well, everything still looks great! How do you fit a filter(s) to that intake?

Thanks Jim. Only "filters" available for these things are screens seen below. I opted for a dual screen arrangement - I'll be surprised if they got that right. But hope to come up something a little more robust going forward.

Thanks Mike! Crane was in their shop last week, saw it and wanted to know more. One thing lead to another in the almighty discussion "more power" and they came up with a few things to try out when Shawn spins this thing. We'll see....

                          • That car is going to be a beast and attention to detail is amazing.... Wonder how many magazines it will be in? Still can't believe they made a spacer for the intake, sticks out like a sore thumb..

                            • they should try a few cams out, not sure how many engines Shawn has built with this intake but that plays a major role on the combination as I'm sure he knows.

Thanks Larry....I can see the picture in head a little better. Not sure about the mag thing, but it would be cool. As far as the spacer....nothing a little black powder wont fix...

No doubt. There will definately be some thrashing and more adjustments made if necessary to ensure its an optimized combo.
