I agree on the sail... either paint it black or else find a way to incorporate more carbon into the car. It looks great, but being the only carbon on the exterior is a little out of place.

CF hood and decklid, then do the manta stripe in the tinted CF, and paint the rest black.
Edit: to this effect, except more subtle.

I think it was while I was walking between 13 and 14 at some point in the afternoon. The key word in my previous statement was "brief," you were in the outside lane on the opposite side of Woodward. I heard it and looked up and was like, "Hey, that's a nice-looking 4th gen. Wait, it's THAT one! It DOES exist!"Originally posted by OVRKILL View PostBummer...would have great to finally meet ya. Where were you? I drove it a little "spirited" down by the corral.....
As far as what you're thinking with the appearance goes, I hear there's this stuff that you can spray on your car without having to do any sanding or any serious prep/finishing work. I think it would be a really good option if you're going to do some flat black accents. And the best part is, someday if you decide you don't like it or you want to change things up again, you can just peel it off! It's some seriously cool stuff. I've even seen people paint their entire car with it! I know you can get it at Home Depot in flat black and a few other colors. If only I could remember what it's called...........

Appreciate the input guys. Pretty convinced, the CF accents are going to stay under the hood. Fbodies just aren't cool enough to pull it off. Now....if I can only find a paint guy willing to take this on Superman09sigpic

Seriously though, my vote is for no on the flat black manta stripe. One of the things I like about this car is that everything is so darn shiny, the whole exterior has an almost mirror-like gloss to it. I think it should stay that way.

Good points Peter....I struggle with toning things down too, but still think it needs something.....even if it means trying that stuff you can't rememberOriginally posted by alone_and_insane View PostSeriously though, my vote is for no on the flat black manta stripe.
