Sorry to hear, Brent. I was just joking about the gold engine, didn't realize you were actually having problems with yours.
As for the intake, what does the manifold look like without the carbon fiber tubes? Is there no way to take the intake manifold off as one unit without having to disassemble all those tubes?

To answer your question B, you can get to the manifold bolts IF you could get a tool other than an allen wrench.
New fasteners (shiny 12pt's) will go back in for better serviceability. The back two are reeeeally tight regardless of fastener, so not sure if even those will work but it cant hurt.
I will see the tubeless intake later....
Anyone have a new set of Lunati 72437's laying around?sigpic

Wasnt as bad as I thought....though someone else did itOriginally posted by meissen View PostWow that just looks like a hot mess
Had an interesting discussion with VSpeed today, so we'll see how that goes. Hope to have another set of lifters in it early next week, might send the intake over to Kinsler and have them set it up, might add another detail or two, going to remove a shit ton of useless wiring.
Figure I might as well make lemonade out of lemons....sigpic

I'd have to agree. It's like knocking up a perfect ten without a brain...sure, you can brag about about it with your friends, but is it worth it?Originally posted by kammi10 View Postif you send it back to them tell them to keep it and buy some something that isnt such a pain the the ass

Depends on how one values cool factor, taming big cubes and a big cam in a "true street" manner.....I hold them high enough to continue the fight. Hell I'm dirty now...... Are there trade offs? Of course. Would I do it different knowing what I know now? Probably.Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View PostI'd have to agree. Right now it's easy to Monday morning quarterback it, but lets not forget the intake was ready before we made the call to pull it for the lifter deal.sigpic
