Everything looks good to me, and you will be a nice LT1 car: fewer and fewer seem to be kept around.

Are you stuck on that cam? Seems like a little too much. Look at JoeliusZ28's cam package. Sounds fricken sweet!

Yeah that cam would be better in a 383.

I agree, that seems like too much cam for what you are looking to do. What about rear end and clutch? I would upgrade the clutch before I started trying to really put some power to the ground. The rear end is going to be the weak point in the drivetrain, you might also consider upgrading that, or you may be forced to later on.

I've found some good deals on Jegs and Summit too, but you have to wait for a sale to roll around. I picked up Pacesetter LT headers and ORY for like $350 shipped on Ebay, since you're just buying the headers (no ORY), that's the route I would go. Or you could look over on LS1Tech, I've seen used coated headers go CHEAP over there.

ill look into a differnt cam then. clutch is a new stock one. so i guess ill have to upgrade that first. rearend is gonna stay as is until it explodes.

im looking at summits brand 17in torque thrust. might get thoughs instead
also thinking of maybe a 3in cowl hood instead of the ss hood

i know you showed interest in my car. but doesnt mean its a gurantee sell.

any other suggestions on what i should get instead for the money let me know. thanks

As far as the headers uncoated, I'm still testing out the POR-20 header paint in silver. Seeing if it'll last longer/better than regular heat paint. So far, there's been no "smoke" from getting good and hot and they're retaining the silver look. Depending when you're coming back, I should have some results and if they're favorable, you're welcome to use some to coat the headers before putting them in. It goes on very easily and takes very little to coat.
