The driver is much better, all but 1 mark is pretty much out of it, Im going to slide something under the seat cover on the driver bottom(the only spot left) and hit it with some conditioner and the heat gun and see how it comes out, but its already a ton better, the warm weather we had has made a good difference.

Why? No one appears to care.

Please - I think everyone's so tired of teasers and people keeping secrets that when we see teasers we just roll our eyes and move on to the next thread.

                            • Update!

I know your all going to kill me for not letting you in the loop sooner, but

All started Friday the 2nd, yes, I know, almost 2 weeks ago... Deal with it....

I picked up a doz doughnuts early in the morning and waited patiently for my "crew" to arrive...

Andrew (shiv15) and his GF showed up right on time and after breakfast we headed out to run some errands. Picked up 3ft of hardened steel threaded rod (to be cut down to size and used to reinstall the harmonic balancer), 2 5/16 metal dowel rods to hold the lifters up(more on this later), and back to my house to pickup the spring compressor/air hose adapter to pressurize the cylinders. After that it was back to the shop/mancave to get to work!

All went smoothly getting it apart, and spring changes were cake using the tool I bought off of ls1tech.

                              Spring tool...

                              PAC 1518's

                              PAC 1518's installed....

Heres where it got slightly frustrating.... According to everyone, you can buy 2 5/16 dowel rods and after you take the cam gear and retainer plate off, spin the cam and slide the rods in and they will hold the lifters up. Um, no. This did absolutely nothing other than cost me 5 or 6 bucks...... So here it is 10 at night on a friday, and were driving EVERYWHERE to try and find 16 pen magnets, lol. We didnt have any luck so we called it a day.

Next morning we set out for harbor freight for our pen magnets, bought damn near all they had and set off in hopes of completing the swap. After getting our magnets in position we pulled the cam and quickly slid the new one in, back in bussiness! Reinstalled the retainer plate and moved on the the timing chain. What a PITA, had to drop part of the pan, and to get to all the bolts the AC had to come out, fun stuff.... Got the new chain on and the oil pump reinstalled, which was another PITA and took forever, big props to Andrew here, he plugged away at it forever.

Getting ready to pull the cam!

                              Andrew workin on the pump.

Was cake after that, threw the front cover and balancer on and headed back up top.

                              Rockers installed and retorqued..

Finishing it up with the brand new LS6 intake and TB, sittin on the core support, where I spent most of my time this weekend.

Thats all ive got for pictures!

                              cont in next post.....
