I don't think duals are necessary with that lift so just get whatever is cheaper.

Thunder doesnt say much on their site about what it requires other than the fact that they offer a package with 918's. Which I refuse to use, not taking a chance on those.

I have .561 lift so I was thinking the PAC 1218's which are rated to .600lift, or the PAC 1518's which are rated to .650 lift for added insurance, but theres quite a bump in cost between the two. The pacs are nice because apparently you can use the stock keepers and stuff with them, less cost.

the ones rated to .600 lift should be just fine your not as prone to overrev the car like some M6 guys might be.

I didnt read all 8 pages, but if you haven't got these yet you should get lca relocation brackets. there is a superrrr deal on ebay from "founders performance" they are selling these for 47.25 plus like 12 bucks shipping.

Alright guys, Ive been slacking lately, and the water pump issue was a total PITA....

I plan on getting the relocation brackets, I want to snag some bolt in ones, once the motors done, Ill be picking up a set.

I got news that my cam is out, trying to make arrangements to go get it, but the 2hr 15min drive is making it tough to line our schedules up.

Spring wise, I think I may go with the 1518's for added safety, I cant afford a new motor, and I dont want to skimp on anything. Can I use the stock locks and retainers with those? Ie, all I need is springs right?

You can use the stock locks. All the spring sets I have used have come with retainers tho.

I dont think the PACs do, I seen on the SDPC website, it says can use any stock ls motor locks and retainers.

Do work! A cam install shouldn't take more than 2 days max. 1 day to install and 1 day for a tune

ls6/ls2 springs would even handle that cam

I had planned on sliding it on saturday, but if my stuff isnt here, then that makes it hard to do. Im most worried about the spring compressor that I ordered off of a guy on ls1 tech that everyone swears by, if I atleast had that I could get the top apart and the new springs on and be set to go. I wanted to get a hold of phil and see if he could do it sunday, but I was told Ill be working sunday now, so thats definitely out.......

Went with PAC 1518s, for insurance and many have been tested at 20k+ miles and lost less than 5lbs of pressure, supposedly do to the heat treated nitride or something, either way, I dont want to be replacing springs any time soon, this should get me 20-30k miles, and they were still plenty reasonable.
