        • forged 383 crank or have stock crank possibly reground if needed i cant tell there are small groves or too deep but idk if it needs to be polished or reground.

          So big question?
Save money and maybe have to get over sized bearings with my stock crank for a 355 with forged pistons, rods and 4 bolt mains, with a solid roller set up.
          or
Spend the extra cash and get a forged 3.75 crank, with full forged rotating assembly with 4 bolt mains. and the solid roller set up.

Really I want the best bang for my buck and i know most people say the stock crank will hold good power but also heard that they really are not to greater of an advantage from a 355 to a 383.

Sadly at this time i decided to just go 355 with stock crank and forged rods and pistons and a full rebuild on the block. I just want to drive it!! And i feel this will be an adequate set up for the rest of my drivetrain. I would love to build a 383 but i'm starting ground on a 30x35 garage as soon as it warms up and id like to sink my funds in to that too.

                    • What CR are you planning on running?

Ring gap .006" to .008" per bore inch?

To be completely honest i have not a clue i planned on asking my machine guy or my buddy that works at livernois that has helped my other friend gap his ls1 rings. I've never gaped rings before.
