I know you want a 4" cowl, but if you want to go a tad smaller and keep the stock lines of the hood. I might be selling my 2" cowl from VFN if I get this other camaro. Still brand new in box. Sitting in basement awaiting install haha. Bolt on

So in sept 2011 my car lost oil pressure and with buying a house over last winter it has been on the back burner. Well i finally got the motor out and tore down and found this... needless to say im not happy because not even a year before it broke and 2k miles before when i installed the cam i put a brand new gm acdelco pump and even had the pickup braised on. oil pump.JPG1999 z28 Bright Blue Metallic 1 of 10

yea ive missed it a lot! But money has been tight with the new house. And yes i will be fixing it this winter but its looking like an all new rotating assembly is in order cause there were metal shavings everywhere. Big plan is to get it done to make it to the m&g this past summer was my first time making it down there and it was awesome, sadly without my camaro.Originally posted by Darren View PostI was wondering what ever happened to this car! Hard for me to tell on my phone - did the weld on the pipe break allowing the pickup tube to fall off? If so that's exactly what happened to me. There is a 10 part on jegs which will bolt your pickup tube in place. When I have a computer I can pull it up of you need it. It was called a pickup tube retainer I think.

You know i never did think to hard about it! Is it possible for the pickup braise to have broken loose and somehow jammed it up and somehow snapped the pump? I did see when Mike (mcalus) bought one. I haven't looked into them but i probably should. Ill have to look into it. Thanks B!

Plans are kinda big but id like to do all new rebuild with 383 rotating assembly and have my heads sent to AI and run a solid roller set up and have everything set up for a future nitrous outlet kit. But im hoping to have the motor all done and running by spring or at least early summer. Ive been back and forth if i wanted to go forced inuction but i really want a NA motor with a little n2o. "Its better to have nitrous and not need it then to not have it and need it" The big plan is 10's or bust by next fall when everyone from my area goes to the local track at the end of the season. That way if the 10 bolt or semi-stock 4l60e decide to break its not broke all summer. And winter 13 plans are going to be built trans and a s60Originally posted by mcalus View PostWow, that sucks for sure. I think you found the problem
