Depending on what mounts you use, you will most likey want to clearence the back side of the K-member where the oil pan drops down to the sump.

i havent done anything with the crossmember yet i dont have the camaro pan to see what i have to do yet.

as for mounts and i am using the s and p style mount, just made my own off the template from ls1tech and moved my poly mounts back one inch on my frame its sitting in there pretty good now about an inch from the firewall. everything is going good so far the time taking part is going to be the wiring and going through the motor, good thing for me i work at a gm dealership so i have access to all the wiring diagrams and such. plus my parts are cheaper.

Well you would not let me use your engine to get mine going so that set me back a little..lol

Yes I know, the engine is in, but lost ambition with all the other endeavors I have, I am getting back on track though.. I did drool on the engine/trans/comp at LKQ today, I am going back soon and will snap pics of it with my camera so you guys can see this thing, I am SO wanting it for my project..

I can tell you this much it has the its in a newer suburban/gm vehicle and has the black plastic vortec piece over the intake and the valve covers look like Larrys that he is redoing.. if I had the 450 I would be out there with my buddy pulling it tomorrow

At least you still have the old motor and can still drive it.. Now you have a year to buy piece by piece to complete next winter..

At least you've got time to put it all together the way you want it done. That'd probably be the best idea for me but I want to get mine done!
