Have you considered engine rock under load?Originally posted by Redd8407I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! It annoys me more then anything.

i built my own mounts using the stock small block mounts and s and p plate design, they sell the plates for 40 but i had my dad machine some up for me for free. i did have to move the motor mount on the crossmember back an inch and up a 1/4". you can buy all kinds of different mounts. i decided to do it this way because i have brand new poly mounts for my small block that was in it so i could see spending 160 for 4th gen poly mounts then 85 for conversion mount. here are some pics.Originally posted by Rubidon View PostWhat motor mounts are you using? I am doing the same build!! I would like to see more pictures as it progresses so I know what I will run into. LOLsigpic

Where did you get the drawings for the motor mount plates? I know I have seen them on the web some where but I can't find them now???? Found one on ls1tech. How much clearance do you have from your firewall? Did you have to modify your k-member?Last edited by Rubidon; January 10th, 2010, 11:38 PM.

http://matt.undiagnosed.org/ls1/imag...ount_plate.jpg this is the link some of the info is wrong, as you can see in my middle pick the 2 bolts in the small block mount that have silver washers these holes are drilled and taped to 3/8 24 thread and the bolt inbetween them is supose to be countersunk but i just drilled a hole in my small block mount to go over the bolt. hope this helpssigpic

You only have to notch the k member if your running a/c. Other than that you dont have to. You do have to relocate the brake line that runs on top of the k member. I just bent it so it runs behind the k member btw the k member and the oil pan and it fits perfectly!Originally posted by Rubidon View PostHey Dustin did you mess with your k-member? I heard that if you use the stock one you have to notch it?- 1988 Camaro IROC-Z
